The subject areas you study will
depend on the areas of interest your instructor has.
Generally, most people will start learning form and will then
progress to other aspects.
Here are a few videos below highlighting some
of the things you may do at a Zhong Ding class.
Cheng Man Ching
37 Step Form
The form is the core part of Tai Chi Chuan study. It
contains all the principles and application of the art. It
should be practiced diligently to progress in the art.
"Every day we practice the form we lay down a layer of skill as
thin as tissue paper but with time even thin sheets of tissue
can pile up high. Perseverance!" The Inner Way, Teachings from
the Tai Chi Chuan of Cheng Man Ching, Nigel Sutton

Push Hands
A two person exercise which aims to develop listening,
understanding, neutralising and emitting energies. It applies
the principles of the art in a controlled situation.
"If I had to sum up the essence of the
ideal attitude and approach to pushing hands it would have to be
in the essential teachings of Master Cheng Man Ching : "invest
in loss" Nigel Sutton, Applied Tai Chi Chuan

Weapons
Tai Chi Chuan also encompasses traditional weapons training.
These weapons include the broadsword, straightsword and
spear/staff.
The Yang short stick form is demonstrated.
"If you are adept at tai chi chuan's empty hand form then you
should be able to pick up any weapon and use it" The Inner Way,
