It's now been a year since the launch of the East Midlands Zhong Ding website and it's been a busy year for the East Midlands.  This has included hosting the Master Liang He Qing Championships and the first Zhong Ding Autumn Camp. 

Here is a short review of the years events:

     

Zhong Ding Autumn Camp 2009

October saw the first Zhong Ding Autumn Camp being hosted at the Walesby Outdoor Adventure Centre in Nottinghamshire.

The event brought together Zhong Ding members from the UK and Ireland to undertake a series of seminars with Nigel Sutton and other senior instructors.

East Midlands Students Receive Grades

Three East Midlands students undertook gradings in October at the Autumn Camp and were all successful.

They were assessed with other students from around the UK and Ireland. 

Steve White achieved his second duan and Jules Burton and Sam Casey achieved their first duan.

Master Liang He Qing Championship

The 2009 Master Liang He Qing Championship took place at Nottingham Trent University on Sunday 12 July 2009.  Competitors from around the country competed in a range of events throughout the day.

Winter Seminars with Nigel Sutton

Nigel Sutton visited the East Midlands on Saturday 11 July 2009  to deliver seminars along with other Zhong Ding Instructors.

Students travelled from across the country and the sessions were very well attended.

Senior Instructors awarded Senior Grades

Three of the East Midlands Instructors were awarded senior grades at the last Zhong Ding AGM in July 2009.

Darren Roberts and Don Harradine were awarded with a fifth duan grade and Ken J Mead was awarded with a fourth duan.

Students Join East Midlands Zhong Ding

Three of the East Midlands Instructors took new inside the door students in April of this year. 

This was marked with an event in Southwell where the new students were welcomed to the organisation.

Online Discussion Group goes live

The Zhong Ding Discussion Group launched in January 2009 and is designed to allow Zhong Ding members from across the world to connect and share ideas.

Website Launch

The East Midlands Zhong Ding website launched in December of 2008 with the full site available in January 2009.

The site aims to combine information about instructors, classes, events and news from the East Midlands.
